With over twenty-two years of drumming experience under his belt and time spent in numerous groups throughout the Midwest, this Central Illinois born and raised blues man is as authentic as they come. In addition to sitting in on a kaleidoscope of sessions (including blues, rock, heavy metal, jazz, swing, and Motown) Short has also been a founding member of the area bands Sheol and Quest. Such endeavors have allowed him to be a mainstay in the Chicago club scene and other surrounding venues, like St. Louis' Landing.

Short's spent most of his time on stage, but his resume also includes studio work, production, songwriting, and arranging credits. Most recently, he's been able to light up the live circuit through both the Greg Glick Band and The JuJu Kings, earning additional respect from concertgoers night after night.
