Junior
(or Jr. if you prefer)

Junior (a.k.a. Jeremy Yocum) can kill you with his quiet humor and thrill you with his guitar wizardry. He likes fast cars and blues guitars. When he’s not playing his Gibson ES335, his SRV Strat, or his newly acquired Telecaster, you can find him out in the barn working on one of his many street rods. His most favorite rod is his replica of the American Graffiti yellow “31” Ford five window chopped coupe.

Jr. got his first influences for music from his grandfather, cousin, uncle, and his father whom all played as well.  But it wasn’t until his dad handed him an old no name beat up flattop acoustic that he didn’t play anymore, that Jr. truly developed his love for guitar. His dad figured it was cheaper than buying a set of drums….and quieter! Over the years, Jr. honed his craft by listening to the likes of ZZ Top, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Jimmy Vaughn, and Freddie King.

Much like “Jboy”, Jr. is from the Peoria, Illinois area where he performed with local favorite Chuck Ely Band and also teamed up with his good friend “Jboy” for a couple of bands known as Fade To Blue and The Rotators. Then in 2005, Jr. got the call once again to be with his good friend and partner in crime to come have some fun with The Juju Kings. Jr. decided that The Juju Kings were damn near as cool as his Ford Coupe and has been having fun ever since.

Jeremy is also a proud papa these days.
We affectionately refer to his new born son as Junior Jr.!!!!
